Description: Besides an excellent performed Swedish massage, I enjoy giving a nice Lomi Lomi massage, which is a flowing, nurturing, and deep form of Hawaiian massage. This sacred practice incorporates movement, breath-work, self-care, and the power of intention and presence. The nurturing, breath-inspired flow of this ancient massage art may help to inspire deeper levels of relaxation and well-being. I will, of course, create a unique combination of treatment methods designed specifically for YOUR personal needs using warm oils, steaming towels, and hot stones, if the weather calls for it, for no extra charge. I treat YOU exactly the way I would wish to be treated when I seek a massage session from another practitioner.

A good massage is always more than "just a massage." A good massage is a meditation and sometimes brings besides a deep relaxation a sense of spiritual connectedness with it. Most of my clients are repeats and stay with me for years. This may be one of the better treatments you will enjoy and certainly you are most welcome!

My most recent client appointment with this massage provider (Shanti) was in March 2006.

My overall rating of this massage provider: Highly Recommended

Would I hire this massage provider again? Absolutely!

The following are my expanded comments regarding my experience with this provider:

Having travelled to more than 100 countries I have enjoyed numerous styles of massage in numerous settings around the world. Shanti, right near my home, is the best professional of all. Where else would one find the therapist coming in from her garden as I approach with fresh picked Rosemary? That nice aroma, coupled with soft music, dim lighting and the quiet privacy of an upstairs room in her residence provides the setting, but Shanti provides the most important ingredient.... a caring, unrushed massage experience where the client can choose the types of massage they prefer. She continually looks for feedback and is concerned that the customer has a positive experience. I appreciate the hot oils, heated stones and steam towels that add to the smoothness and firmness of her skilled massage. She can be firm and deep, or softly smooth and light, depending on the client's needs. She always asks me before each massage what I would like to add or leave out, but, inevitably, I always say, "Just exactly like the first one". My Doctor recommended massage as one strategy for anxiety/stress relief after a serious depression. I have always been grateful that I chose Shanti as my massage therapist.
