Description: Barry Krost, MA, NCTMB has been a Bodywork Therapist and Energy Healer for 26 years with training that includes Positional Release, Chapman's Reflexes, Energy Techniques and Family Constellations.
Barry is an Advanced Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy®, a form of Positional Release. He is also certified in Family and Systemic Constellations. A graduate of the Chicago School of Massage in 1983, Barry has over 3500 hours of training in Bodywork and Energy Healing modalities. He has evolved from Swedish Massage and Deep Tissue in his earliest of days to more holistic forms of therapy. Today he focuses on Positional Release, Chapman's Reflexes, Energy Techniques and Family Constellations.
His training has included various forms of Positional Release, Lymph Drainage Therapy, Chapman’s Reflexes, Zero Balancing, Active Assisted Stretching, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Zone Therapy, Hands-on Healing, Chakra Balancing, Transpersonal Healing and Therapeutic Touch. He has been training in Tai Chi Chuan (Wu and Yang) and Chi Kung for many years; most recently with Master Horacio Lopez. He also has studied, Transcendental Meditation, yoga and Hanna's Somatics.
Barry trained in Family and Systemic Constellations faciliation with Scott Bader, DC, Peter De Vries and Volker Frank in an intensive training in San Diego.
He earned a BA in Anthropology, a MA in History and is certified in High School Social Studies instruction. He has extensive training and experience in consensus processes and is certified in non-profit management.
Barry is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB) from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and he is a Certified Bodywork Therapist with Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). Barry has been teaching massage and bodywork continuing education since 1992; He is an Approved Provider of continuing education for NCBTMB.
