Description: I studied massage at Heartwood Institute in Garberville, CA, and graduated from the Heartwood Massage program in 2003. Since then, I have been dedicated to furthering my education and training in bodywork and yoga. I have over 1,000 hours of official training in bodywork, and have assist-taught several classes at Heartwood.
I wholeheartedly believe that all of us have the power to heal ourselves on any level. It has been my personal quest to discover universal mechanisms of healing. I earned a B.A. from Western Washington University in Anthropology, with a focus on cross-cultural healing practices. After that I delved deeply into studies of yoga, martial arts, and meditation. Learning to practice bodywork was a natural progression, and a way to share some of the gems of universal wisdom these ancient arts have to offer us. In a world where we are constantly put under "fight or flight" stress response, the most crucial medicine of our times is relaxation and rejuvenation. This is absolutely essential to a healthy immune system.
I welcome a diverse clientele into my practice, and see each person as a reflection of the Divine. It is an honor to share this gift!
