Description: The specialty of the house is Traditional Thai Massage performed by practitioners trained in Thailand. However, we are a full-service Spa & Salon and in addition to Traditional Thai Massage and Hot Compresses we offer our own unique Thai Aroma, a blend of soothing Swedish Massage combined with Thai Massage stretches. Other choices include traditional Swedish, Sports, Pre Natal, Cranial and Chair Massage. We also offer Foot Reflexology, Hot Stone treatments and Acupuncture for therapeutic purposes or relaxation and stress management.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin whisker-like needles into specific points on the surface of the body, usually muscles and joint spaces. Skillful placement and manipulation stimulates the release of natural opiate-like chemicals produced by the body to relieve pain, strengthen immunity, regulate the circulation of blood and other vital body fluids and assist the bodys innate ability to be self-regulating and self-healing.
The acupuncturist will ask you a battery of questions related to your overall health and any specific concerns, after which time a Chinese medical diagnosis and treatment plan will be determined based on your answers and a physical assessment.
Most patients find the experience of a treatment to be surprisingly deeply relaxing and many fall asleep. The tranquilizing effect is beneficial to those suffering from insomnia, anxiety and depression without the potentially dangerous side-effects of toxic medications.
Session times vary from 15 30 minutes for Chair Massages to 60 90 minutes and up to 2 hours for Thai Massage.
