The search menu tool allows you to search for a provider.  Features and options are explained on this page.

How to Search

Enter your ZIP code or select a city.  We initially attempt to do this for you (more about this at the bottom of this page), but you're free to correct it or change it to suit your needs.  If you're in the U.S.A. and know your ZIP code, enter it here.  If you're traveling about and either do not know your present ZIP code or you're outside the U.S.A., click the "select a city" link and you will be given an opportunity to select any city in the U.S.A.  [Cities outside the U.S.A. will follow in the future.]

Location.  The box directly below the ZIP code will show you the location corresponding to the entered ZIP code or the selected city.  In fact, you can bypass "Enter your ZIP code or select a city" and instead enter your desired location directly into this box, whether it is your ZIP code, or a city name, place name, exact address, etc.

Find a massage within ???? miles / kms.  Enter the number of miles (or kilometers) you're willing to travel to your massage.  If you're not willing to travel (e.g. you want the provider to come to you), enter 0.

How we use your ZIP code / city and distance:  The matching system automatically looks for a provider in two directions: (1) the incall direction, for a provider YOU can reach within the specified distance, and (2) the outcall direction, for a provider willing to travel TO you.  If you are within range in either direction, the provider is considered a potential match.

Incall & Outcalls.  Are you looking for only an incall massage (where you travel to the provider's location) or are you looking for only an outcall massage (where a provider travels to you), or are you looking for both incall & outcall opportunities? Click the radio button to match what you're searching for.

Only profiles w/photos.  Not all providers have photos in their profiles.  If you only want to see the profiles that have photos, check the box.

Show me just the photos, no description.  Check this box if you're only interested in a quick list (by photo) of the available providers in your area.  If you select this option, you can always click on a photo to view the provider's complete profile.  If you do not select this option, the full profile (and any photos) of each matching provider will be listed.

Look for.  If you have a special interest, you can search the provider database by keywords.  The returned results will include only those providers whose profiles contain all of the specified keywords.  Optionally, the keyword search will probe not only the provider's posted profile but any and all published reviews for the provider as well.

For example, if you enter the keywords "swedish shower", the results will include only those profiles containing the exact words "swedish" and/or "shower".  Each occurrence of the specified keywords is counted and used to order the returned results such that the best matches are always listed first.

To improve search results, common words (e.g. 'the', 'and', 'she', etc.) as well as single digits and single letters are ignored.

Search reviews for keywords too.  If the option is selected, keyword searches will extend to the provider's published reviews in addition to the provider's profile.

Search providers' keywords.  If the option is selected, keyword searches will extend to the providers' keywords in addition to the provider's published profile (and reviews, if also selected).  Some providers attach additional keywords to their profiles which may cause you to find them in your searches even though those keywords are not actually found anywhere within their published profiles and/or reviews.

Favor newest.  (This option is available only to Friends) If the option is selected, additional preference is given such that the newest providers and those providers who have more recently updated their ads may be listed ahead of some other providers, regardless of distance.

Other preferences.  You might also choose to show providers who have optionally chosen to provide specific keywords.

Once set, your options generally will remain in effect for all your searches until you change them, or you exit your browser, disable session cookies, or you walk away from your session for an extended period of time.

How Your Search Results Are Ordered

Your search results are ordered by objective criteria, to make them more useful to YOU, the client.

If your search is restricted to specific keywords, your results are primarily sorted by the decreasing frequency of those keywords in the providers' profiles/reviews (i.e. highest scoring providers are presented at the top of the list).  When two or more providers achieve equal keyword scores, the results are then further sorted by distance and "newness" as described next.

Whether or not you used keywords, your results are also sorted in relation to the distance between you and the provider such that providers closer to you are generally presented closer to the top of the list than those farther away.  When two or more providers are approximately the same distance from you, a provider who has more recently updated his profile might appear ahead of the others in the search results list.  If the option to "favor newest" providers is selected (option available to Friends only), preference is given to the newest providers and those providers who've more recently updated their ads over closer providers.  Of course, providers who are paying subscribers may also receive premier positioning and rank.

In summary, your results are generally sorted in the following order: keyword score (if keywords were specified), distance, newness.

Hidden Profiles

Hidden profiles. Each provider chooses whether his/her profile will be available in search results.  In some cases, a profile not available in search results may be viewable by a direct URL link (made available only by the provider).  We cannot disclose such URLs even though you may use them to access provider profiles.  In other cases, a provider may have disabled his/her profile so that it cannot be viewed under any circumstances at the current time.  These are "hidden" profiles.

Your Location?

When you first visit our web site, we may make an attempt to complete the location fields (ZIP code and/or city) for you.  Sometimes we're successful, sometimes we get it wrong, and sometimes we just can't.  When we get it right, you might be a bit surprised, maybe even wonder how we knew.  Really, we don't know; we only guess at your city based on Internet routing information which is not personally identifiable to you.  If we guess the wrong city for you, please just ignore our attempt and you may enter whatever ZIP/city you're interested in.
