Description: My name is Jon Stange and I began my practice as a massage therapist in 1995. I shifted my focus to structural bodywork in 2005 after attending a workshop in Santa Monica based on the brilliant work of Ida P. Rolf. I continued my education in Structural Integration (Rolfing) by attending the Guild for Structural Integration in Boulder, CO. in 2007. My certification is in the original 10 session format that Ida P. Rolf, the visionary scientist developed in the 1950's to deal with pain and dysfunction in the body. Her investigation into balancing the human body in a relationship with gravity was evolutionary. Her focus was that we are all in a state of imbalance with gravity and that pain and dysfunction were the result. Injuries from any form physical and emotional trauma only compounded the issue. To regain form and function the muscles, ligaments, tendons and most importantly fascia, our strong connective tissue that wraps around everything in the body, needs more space to provide better postural balance and effortless movement.
