Description: I have ten years of massage work, trained in multiple modalities, you name it. Many terms such as deep tissue are not valid or have proven to be counter productive therapies, causing more injury than they resolve. I completed 500 hours for my "Certificate of Achievement" from De Anza College in Cupertino CA. I have an Advanced Practitioner's license (CMT/LMT) in the county of San Francisco. (Over double the required hours to practice.)

I divide the body into two halves: upper and lower. The massage begins at the base of the skull and works down with applied pressure to the Trigger Points (TrPs) or "knots" along the chain of muscles. The process will be accompanied by aches and pain that dissipates as we stretch those shortened fibers out.

Think of the body as a series of suspension bridges, the cables are your muscles. Knots in the individual fibers restrict the other fibers in the muscle, these fibers pull and "refer pain" to parts of the body on down the chain. Common causes of headaches and backaches.

It is work, and takes energy from both of us, followed by a very relaxing and integrative connective massage. Working our way to your lower half and we begin the work all over again. Depending on your condition, we may only work on a few chronic areas in the session, or it may be that we can hit all of the muscles of your body in one session. Your body will tell us how much we can get done. I am here to solve problem with posture and pain.

There are other therapists on this site that are very good at relaxing massages, my style is more corrective and intense as well as fully relaxing.
