My Other Website:

Description: I am a licensed acupuncturist, massage therapist and herbalist in Mount Kisco. For over a decade, I have been working in the field of bodywork and health care. I served as an acupuncturist at the Sydney Hillman Clinic and Tri-State College of Acupuncture Clinic in Manhattan, as well as Astor Care Medical in the Bronx prior to opening my office in Mount Kisco. My area of expertise Deep Tissue Massage and Acupuncture/Trigger Point Therapy.

My clinical training began at Tri -State College of Acupuncture in New York City where I obtained a Masterís degree in Acupuncture. I am licensed in New York State and received my Diplomate in Acupuncture through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). I obtained my New York State License in Massage Therapy through The Swedish Institute in NYC.

In my practice, I combine both classical acupuncture with Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM) to focus on the individual needs of the patient. APM is a new approach to orthopedic injuries and stress related diseases which combines traditional Oriental Acupuncture medicine with Western anatomy and physiology. Evaluation of problem areas is performed from a Western perspective to identify specific structures such as tendons, ligaments, and myofascial trigger points, which are the sources of pain. Acupuncture is then performed in order to alleviate symptoms arising from the affected structures. Drawing from classical meridian acupuncture styles from China, Japan and Europe, as well as modern principles of osteopathy and physical medicine, I believe in using an eclectic approach of both traditional and new principles of acupuncture to address the needs of all patients.

I attended The Swdish Institute of Massage and graduated in 1994. I specialize in Deep Tissue and Medical Massage, and also practice Swedish Massage, Shiatsu and Thai Massage. I am very detail oriented throughout my massage therapy sessions, finding tender muscles most other therapists overlook.
