Description: I am a graduate of the Florida School of Massage in Gainesville, Fl. I completed the 500 hour training required by the state of Florida and have been licensed since May of 2006. I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
I use a combination of techniques in my practice, including Swedish therapy, Deep Tissue therapy, Hydrotherapy, Reflexology, Sports therapy, Aromatherapy and Neuromuscular therapy.
I have worked at a physical therapy clinic with a Chiropractor and a Physical Therapist as part of a team and I still work with a Chiropractor, Dr. Rick Dubas, D.C. to assist his patients in the healing process.
I believe that relaxation is one of the most important steps in the healing process, and I believe that massage therapy should never be painful or uncomfortable to the point where you leave the parasympathetic (relaxation) state.
I find that clients have longer lasting results and benefit more by going to the edge of comfort with deep tissue therapy as opposed to going beyond the pain threshold. I also use aromatherapy to increase the relaxation process.
