Description: Esalen bodywork has been called the art of human touch. It is famous for the meditative approach it inspires. This massage relaxes both body and mind. Deep work relaxes the shoulders and lumbar area but Body-length flows are the heart of the sessions, including side work that is unique to Esalen. This is soothing as well as practical, and great for tensions in the hips. A bit of supported stretching is added to encourage flexibility and because it feels good!
In longer sessions, Mayan Abdominal Massage (traditional deep work for the pelvic bowl) feels amazing and fosters digestive renewal. Lymphatic Drainage can also be added - a mostly light touch method to clear toxins from the body, which is also a conduit to deeper relaxation.
