Description: My Background
Specialty: Sports, Medical, Lymphatic and Rehab massage
*Experience: over 12 years private practice as well as Chiropractic partnership,Corporate Chair massage programs, Community and Sporting events.
*Technique: Treatment based on East/West observations {history, posture, pathology, palpation, kinesiology etc.} unique to each individual's needs.
My treatment is NOT heavy handed. It is cross fiber and very lymphatic in nature. It helps correct posture and ease pain.
In my practice, I work with approx. 200-300 people each year through my appointments and public events. I generally do not use oils/gel as I do not focus on Swedish long strokes but rather more kneading/cross fiber / gentle ROM. If you are familiar with the Pfrimmer technique, I utilize the theory of bringing circulation to the extremities to open the entire lymphatic system. I use my own set of skills to create a full lymphatic flow instead of just a “ to the heart” or “ away from the heart” mindset/result. This is my own set of tools but it has been remarked to resemble Trager or Amma.
In my private practice I offer a partnership for my clients to help them achieve the improvements they are looking for in their health. I help their body to re-balance their Chi as well as enabling the client to take responsibility for continuing their healing. With this practice I support two locations {low volume for individual attention} as well as establishing community ties through out reach events such as Special Olympics, working with MS, ACS etc events through out the year. I support many sporting venues {1 or 2 day events} such as tri/du-athalons, cyclocross, marathons, bikathons, walks etc. I have also exhibited at local Heath and New Age Fairs/Expos over the years to help educate and promote massage.
Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy/Pfrimmer grad. 1998 Continuing Ed. courses focused on A&P, pathology, special pop. care, sports and rehab., cranial sacral, myofascial, lymphatic work
