A CranioSacral session..
Dressed comfortably you rest on a padded table and I place my hands under you. I use my hands to facilitate the almost imperceptable movements between the skull and bones to enliven the small rhythms normally present at the sutures of the skull and the sacrum. Though I may start on your feet or cranium for example I then follow on to other areas of your body. I evaluate the quality of that rhythm and apply subtle, indirect force to enhance its movement and pulsation. I must be attuned as well. In a "neutral state" I assist this through your spinal cord to sacrum, brain and the sheaths or fascia that surround each organ and muscle. This tide has its own intelligence and has been there before you were born, from your parents to your embryo to your present state has its own intelligence yet can also be impeded upon and fluctuate. Places in you that may of been locked or in a state or pattern of inertia allowing stress, disease, or trauma for example to continue start to open and this is when deep relaxation happens. Dr. Sutherland said it like this; " Allow physiologic function within to manifest its own unerring potency rather than apply a blind force from without". This profound, precise depth of clearing and reconnecting to the source is why I am whole heartedly with craniosacral therapy.
During the session some people fall into a deep sleep and feel as if they are healing. ( the root heal comes from the same root word as whole so that wholeness, our reconnecting with this flow - "Primary respiration" is a healing).
Many people feel alleviated, "right again" or calm or relaxed after an appointment. Some feel as if they are still in a sleep after the appointment. Most people are fine to continue their day afterwards.
Some times, as the shifting is still taking place for up to a few days after the appointment, the difference is felt later. This is why it is good to check in with each other, as equals with respect for the work we are doing after a few days.
Sessions do not usually hinder day to day living and work. Many people use this over time to address a variety of issues they want to work through in themselves.

We start from where you are at. We end with you opened, feeling infinitely able. All that is required is some loose clothing and your attention.
Understanding the commencement of disease in the ayurvedic concept and its process is a key element of Eastern thought in contrast to the Western thought of today. Its approach to disease is that the body is in a state of excess or deficiency, and its central theme is health by purification in order to live in peace. Its
methods have been used successfully during the Vedic period and from 1200 BC until today. It predates Tibetan, Chinese and Western medicine as the very first system for recording and listening to systems of the body.
