My Other Website:
Description: I've been a massage therapist for almost 14 years and a nationally certified infant massage instructor for two years. I initially completed a 506 hour massage therapy program in California with a state licensed/accredited massage therapy school. Since completing my program, I have taken hundreds of continuing education hours with special focus on pain management and chronic health conditions. I'm also nearing completion of my Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology. My philosophy has always been that the more I understand about the human body and it's complexities, the better I can serve the needs of my clients! My professional affiliations include: American Massage Therapy Association, ABMP, International Loving Touch Foundation, L.A. Marathon Sports Massage Team and The Parkinson Alliance's Team Parkinsons.
Before relocating to TX, I worked for 6.5 years in a busy medical office. My broad clinical massage experience included: sports and traumatic injuries, post-op rehab, general stress reduction, soft/connective tissue disorders and musculoskeletal pathologies. I also provided EMS, ultrasound, parafin and hydrotherapy treatments as prescribed.
I don't follow the "paint by numbers" massage formula taught to students in massage school. My massage sessions are individualized to each client and often involve many modalities of massage. I specialize in Neuromuscular, Deep Tissue, Therapeutic and Sports Massage. Since most of my clients come to me to address specific issues, my massage sessions are often more rehabilitative in nature. I'm also skilled at giving excellent Swedish, Pregnancy and Infant massages. I often teach infant massage classes to expectant parents and/or caregivers, as well as classes conducted with newborns. If you are interested in a class, please call to check my date availability.
My personal goal as a massage therapist has always been to help each client achieve "balance." For more info about massage session pricing and hours of availability, please see above. If you have any futher questions, please feel free to email me directly.
